2nd “Vividhta Ka Amrit Mahotsav” Inaugurated

The second edition of “Vividhta Ka Amrit Mahotsav” was inaugurated by President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The event is aimed at celebrating and showcasing India’s rich cultural diversity through various forms of art, performances, crafts, and cuisine.

Second “Vividhta Ka Amrit Mahotsav” Highlights

Focus on Southern India:

  • This edition highlights the cultural and artistic heritage of Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Union Territory of Lakshadweep, and Puducherry.

Part of a Seven-Edition Celebration:

  • The festival is structured into seven distinct editions, each dedicated to different regions of India: Northeastern, Southern, Northern, Eastern, Western, Central, and Union Territories.

Diverse Cultural Showcases:

  • Over 400 artists will participate in folk and classical dance and music performances, providing a deep insight into South India’s artistic traditions.
  • Handicraft and handloom exhibitions displaying traditional craftsmanship.
  • A literary enclave for authors, poets, artisans, and writers.
  • Cultural performances representing different regional traditions and Workshops for learning about various art forms.
  • Food courts offering authentic cuisines from the participating states.

First Edition (2024 – Northeast Focus)

  • The inaugural edition of Vividhta Ka Amrit Mahotsav (2024) focused on the Northeastern states and received an overwhelming response:
    • 1.3 lakh visitors attended the event.
    • Generated ₹1 crore in sales for local artisans.
