Uttar Pradesh Government launched the UP Khet Suraksha Yojana 2026 to protect agricultural crops from damage caused by stray cattle, nilgai (blue bull), wild boars, and other wild animals. Under the scheme, farmers receive financial assistance for installing solar-powered electric fencing around their fields.
The government provides a 60% subsidy, up to ₹1.43 lakh per kilometre, making crop protection affordable while promoting the use of renewable energy. The scheme aims to reduce crop losses, improve farm productivity, and safeguard farmers’ livelihoods without harming wildlife.
