National Dhanwantari Ayurveda Awards 2025

The Ministry of Ayush has conferred the National Dhanwantari Ayurveda Awards 2025 on three distinguished practitioners for their exceptional contributions to traditional Indian medicine. These awards, considered a symbol of national pride, recognize individuals who have significantly advanced Ayurveda on both national and global levels.

Each awardee received:

  • A citation
  • A trophy featuring Lord Dhanwantari
  • A cash prize of ₹5 lakh

Recipients of the 2025 Awards

  1. Vaidya Tara Chand Sharma A renowned Nadi Vaidya (pulse diagnosis expert) and author. His insightful writings have encouraged a new generation to explore Ayurveda deeply.
  2. Vaidya Maya Ram Uniyal – A scholar of Dravyaguna Vigyana (study of medicinal properties of plants) with 60 years of service. His prolific writings and contributions to Vanoushadi Vanaspati and Lifetime Achievement Awards have elevated Ayurveda globally.
  3. Vaidya Sameer Govind Jamadagni – Founder of the Vishwa Vyakhyanmala national conference and Vishwa Ayurveda Prabodhini, with over four decades of contributions. His efforts have transformed Ayurveda education by building influential knowledge-sharing platforms.

These visionaries have played a crucial role in integrating traditional wisdom with modern healthcare, modernizing Ayurveda practices while preserving their authentic essence.
