First ISSF World Cup 2025: India Finishes 2nd Overall

In the first leg of ISSF World Cup 2025 held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, India finished second in overall medal standings, trailing only People’s Republic of China. This event forms part of a series that includes a second stage at Las Palmas range in Lima, Peru, reinforcing India’s growing strength in international shooting competitions.

  • China: Topped the standings with 11 medals (5 gold, 3 silver, 3 bronze)
  • India: Secured a total of 8 medals (4 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze)

  • Sift Kaur Samra: Women’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions

  • Vijayveer Sidhu: Men’s 25m Rapid Fire Pistol. Sidhu became the first Indian to win an ISSF World Cup gold in his event.
