Goa Hosts Historic 10th Ayurveda Day 

10th Ayurveda Day will be celebrated on 23rd September 2025 at the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), Goa. For the first time, Ayurveda Day will be observed on a fixed calendar date (23rd September), departing from the earlier practice of aligning it with Dhanvantari Jayanti. Goa, with its global wellness appeal, is hosting the main event, highlighting India’s effort to project Ayurveda as an international healthcare model.

Theme 2025

  • Theme 2025:“Ayurveda for People & Planet”.
    • For People: Promoting Ayurveda as an accessible, affordable, preventive, and integrative healthcare system.
    • For Planet: Advocating eco-friendly practices, sustainable use of resources, and harmony with nature.
  • The theme aligns Ayurveda with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), integrating traditional knowledge with modern sustainability efforts.

Global Outreach & Celebrations

  • The Ministry of Ayush is coordinating nationwide events across all states and UTs.
  • Robust international outreach planned through:
    • Indian Missions abroad.
    • Collaborations with global universities, wellness organizations, and diaspora groups.
  • Builds on last year’s milestone when Ayurveda Day witnessed participation from 150+ countries.
