National Youth Day (Rashtriya Yuva Diwas): 12 January

National Youth Day is celebrated every year on 12 January to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. It was officially declared National Youth Day in 1984 by the Government of India on the recommendation of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
