The Government of Maharashtra has launched Divyang Sahayak Portal, described as India’s first integrated digital platform for persons with disabilities (PwDs). The portal aims to streamline welfare scheme delivery, simplify procedures, and improve implementation of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016.
The initiative reduces paperwork, eliminates manual processes, and improves transparency and grievance redressal.

One-Stop Platform for Welfare Schemes
The portal functions as a single-window platform where PwDs can:
- Search eligible welfare schemes
- Apply online
- Track application status in real time
- Submit grievances digitally
Instead of searching for scheme names, users can enter demographic details, and the system will automatically show schemes they are eligible for.

A three-tier workflow system has been introduced.

- Auto-forward mechanism if an application remains pending beyond the deadline
- Reduced approval levels to three stages to minimize delays.
