FraudPro: India’s AI-Driven Telecom Security Platform

India’s indigenous AI-driven fraud detection solution FraudPro was named a top finalist for the Best Network Security and Fraud Prevention category at the Global Mobile (GLOMO) Awards during the Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, Spain. This solution made it to the top finalists at the prestigious GLOMO Awards in the category of Best Network Security and Fraud Prevention.

What is FraudPro?

It is an indigenous, AI-driven fraud detection solution developed by India’s Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT). It is specifically designed to secure telecom ecosystems by identifying and preventing identity-based fraud.

Government Deployment: It is actively deployed by India’s Department of Telecommunications (DoT) as part of the Digital Intelligence Platform and supports the Sanchar Saathi Portal.

Key Capabilities

It leverages sophisticated Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) techniques for

  • Large-Scale Image Deduplication: Compares registration photos against existing databases to find duplicates used under different names.
  • Forged Document Detection: Analyzes identity documents to spot manipulations or forgeries often missed by human reviewers.
  • Re-verification: Enables telecom operators to run subscriber databases to identify suspicious patterns among active connections.
  • ASTR Integration: The platform (formerly or also known as ASTR) has already helped identify and disconnect over 2 crore (20 million) fraudulent connections.
