India’s Defence Exports: Highest of Rs 38,424 Cr in FY 2025-26

India’s defence exports have reached an all-time high of Rs 38,424 crore in FY 2025-26, marking a massive surge of Rs 14,802 crore (62.66%) over the previous year’s figure of Rs 23,622 crore. This landmark achievement reflects India’s growing global acceptance as a defence exporter, the deepening integration of Indian defence products into international supply chains, and the success of the Government’s vision to position India among the world’s top defence exporters.

Export Growth- Key Numbers

  • India’s defence exports have grown approximately three times in the last five years, underlining the rapid maturation of India’s defence industrial base.
  • In FY 2025-26, the total export value stood at Rs 38,424 crore, up from Rs 23,622 crore in FY 2024-25 — an increase of Rs 14,802 crore representing a growth of 66% over the previous fiscal year.

  • Simplified Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)– Easier authorisation processes for defence exporters
  • Ease of Doing Business Reforms– Continuous reduction of compliance burden for exporters
  • Performance-Oriented Ecosystem– Creating a globally competitive defence industry environment
