National Cadet Corps (NCC) and the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) signed an MoU to launch a comprehensive Cyber Security Capacity Building Programme for NCC cadets across India. This initiative aims at empowering NCC cadets with structured training in cyber awareness, digital hygiene and practical cyber defence skills.

Objectives
- It is aligned with Digital India and the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF)
Programme Structure: Two Stages-
Stage 1- Cyber Security Awareness Programme
- Duration- 15 hours (online)
- Open to- all enrolled NCC cadets across India
- Delivered through- NIELIT Digital University platform
- Focus- digital literacy, safe internet practices, cyber hygiene and awareness of cyber threats
- Duration– 60 hours (offline, intensive)
Stage 2- Cyber Defender Programme
- Duration– 60 hours (offline, intensive)
- Eligibility– selected cadets through merit-based screening
- Focus– hands-on training, real-life simulations and practical exposure to cyber security tools and techniques
