Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY), implemented by the National Health Authority (NHA) under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, is India’s flagship health assurance scheme. It currently processes nearly 50,000 claims daily across 1,900+ treatment packages.
At present, only 15–20% of claims are auto-adjudicated, leaving a significant gap for a scalable, package-agnostic digital solution. The growing volume and complexity of claims has made an advanced auto-adjudication system leveraging AI-based fraud detection, automation, standardised documentation, and real-time verification an urgent priority.
About AB PM-JAY Auto-Adjudication Hackathon
- It has been launched to catalyse innovative digital solutions that can seamlessly integrate with the existing AB PM-JAY infrastructure.
