Government of India unveiled a statue of Bodofa Upendranath Brahma and renamed a road in his honour in New Delhi. A stretch of Lala Lajpat Rai Marg in South Delhi has been renamed as Bodofa Upendranath Brahma Marg.
This fulfills a long-standing demand of All Bodo Students Union (ABSU). This is only second road in Delhi named after an Assamese personality, after Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi Marg in Chanakyapuri.
