Government of Gujarat has become the first Indian state to formally launch a dedicated Space Tech Policy 2025–2030. The policy is aimed at boosting the space technology ecosystem through fiscal incentives, non-fiscal support, and public-private collaboration, with a vision to make Gujarat a space tech hub.
About Gujarat’s Space Tech Policy (2025–2030)
Objectives:
- Attract $5 billion in investments over the next five years
- Generate 25,000 new jobs in the space tech sector
- Empower startups, investors, and entrepreneurs to build and operate in Gujarat
Activities Covered:
- Manufacturing of satellite payloads, communication systems, propulsion systems
- Development of ground stations, satellite control centres, and space-based applications
Support Provided:
- Fiscal and non-fiscal incentives
- Assistance for launch costs and patent filing
