Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, in collaboration with the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser (PSA) to the Government of India, marked the culmination of “Inspiring Innovators – Naye Bharat Ki Nayi Pehchaan”, a skilling and storytelling initiative supported by the Netflix Fund for Creative Equity.
The programme integrates innovation, creativity, and social impact, aligning with India’s vision of building a future-ready creative economy.
About “Inspiring Innovators – Naye Bharat Ki Nayi Pehchaan”
- A skilling and creative storytelling initiative designed to:
- Highlight socially relevant Indian innovations
- Build hands-on creative skills among students
- Connect startups, students, and creative professionals
- Focuses on using storytelling as a tool for social change, especially in the emerging era of AI-led narratives and digital creativity.

- 26 students participated from diverse regions of India
- 50% women participation, ensuring gender inclusion
- Significant representation from Tier-II cities, expanding access beyond metros
- Students received hands-on creative experience, not just theoretical training

- Exposure to real-world industry processes, including ideation, design, animation, and storytelling workflows
Showcasing Indian startups and innovation
- The initiative showcased eight Indian startups:
- Identified by the Office of the PSA
- Recognised for their work in social-impact innovation
- Output:
- Eight short animated films
- Each film tells the story of one startup’s innovation
- Films were created by students from eight universities across India, including:
- National Institute of Design (NID)
- Chitkara University
- Satyajit Ray Institute of Film and Television
- Other leading design and media institutions
