JSW Sports and Squash Rackets Federation of India (SRFI) signed an MoU to host international squash tournaments in India. This initiative was announced on sidelines of JSW Indian Open 2025 (India’s first-ever PSA Squash Copper tournament), where players competed in an outdoor glass court. This initiative aims to boost India’s presence in global squash circuit.

- Three PSA Squash Copper tournaments will be hosted in Mumbai, New Delhi, and Chennai over the next three years.
- The tournaments will feature top international and Indian players, offering them a platform to compete at a global level.
- JSW Sports and Inspire Institute of Sports, in collaboration with SRFI, will bring in elite high-performance coaches from around world to train Indian athletes.
- India currently has six players ranked in world’s top 100, reflecting growing strength of sport in country.
- These tournaments are part of India’s long-term plan to compete Indian squash players with the world’s best at Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.

SRFI is the governing body for squash in India, responsible for conducting national championships, promoting the sport, selecting teams, and appointing coaches.
It oversees the Indian Squash Academy, which played host to the 2007 World Team Championship.
