The Union Minister of Communications Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, led India’s engagements at Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona, Spain, with high-level participation at the GSMA Ministerial Programme and the MWC Main Stage, outlining India’s vision for affordable, inclusive and future-ready digital connectivity.
The participation of India’s telecom innovators at MWC 2026 was organised by the Telecom Equipment and Services Export Promotion Council (TEPC). It was supported by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Ministry of Communications, Government of India.
About Mobile World Congress 2026

About Telecom Equipment and Services Export Promotion Council (TEPC)
- It is an autonomous organization established by the Government of India to promote and develop the export of telecom equipment and services.
- Parent Ministry: It functions under Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and Ministry of Commerce & Industry
- Gensis: Set up the ambit of Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) to promote and develop export of telecom equipment and services.
- It plays an important role in furtherance of telecom exports from India and assists its member companies in facilitation of exports.
- It works with the entire ecosystem of Indian telecom exporters as well as various departments of the Government to deliver and create end-to-end telecom solutions.
Core Objectives & Functions
- Export Promotion: Provides a platform for Indian manufacturers and service providers to showcase their products in international markets.
- Policy Advocacy: Liaises with government authorities to provide industry inputs for schemes like Production Linked Incentive (PLI) and the Foreign Trade Policy.
- Certification: Issues Registration-cum-Membership Certificates (RCMC), which are required for exporters to claim benefits under government schemes.
- Market Access: Organizes “Bharat Pavilions” at major global events like MWC Barcelona, AfricaCom, and GITEX Dubai
