Himachal Pradesh government has launched the ‘My Deed’ pilot project under the National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS) in 10 tehsils, aiming to digitize and simplify the land registration and property documentation process.
Key Features of ‘My Deed’ NGDRS Project
Objective:
- To modernize the land and property registration process, making it transparent, paperless, presence-less, and cashless.
- Citizens can now prepare and register land deeds online, reducing in-person visits to revenue offices.
Developed By:
- Department of Revenue, Himachal Pradesh in coordination with NIC and Department of Digital Technologies and Governance.

- Time-saving: Only one physical visit is required after registry is completed online.
- User-Friendly Interface: Helps citizens prepare complex legal sale deeds without external assistance.
- Digital Workflow: From drafting to execution, the process becomes fully automated and cloud-based.
Complementary Digital Revenue Initiatives Launched
New Format of Jamabandi:
- Now available in easy Hindi for broader public understanding.
- Obsolete languages like Urdu, Arabic, and Farsi removed from land records.
e-Roznamcha Vakyati:
- A digital diary system for Patwaris to record daily field activities electronically.
Kaarguzari:
- An online attendance and work reporting system for staff, improving transparency in government functioning.
Digital Mutation Register:
- Under development and to be linked with Jamabandi, allowing faster ownership transfer after property sale.
Future Digital Reforms Announced
Digitally Signed Jamabandi Module:
- To be implemented within 10 days, eliminating the need for people to visit Patwarkhanas to get Fard (land record copies).
Online Revenue Court Management System:
- To be launched in 15 days for online:
- Filing of petitions
- Receiving summons
- Tracking case status
Online Mutation Module:
- To be linked directly with Jamabandi for streamlined inheritance or sale record updating.
Khangi Takseem Initiative:
- Deputy Commissioners to implement Single Khata, Single Owner for joint land ownership simplification, under mission mode.
