The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), in collaboration with the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, organised a day-long National Governance Conference at Jammu.
The theme of the conference was: “Holistic Development of Districts: Transforming Governance for Viksit Bharat.”
About National Governance Conference
Objective: To showcase and disseminate innovative governance practices adopted by districts across India and to highlight district-level interventions that have:
- Improved service delivery
- Enhanced citizen welfare
- Strengthened local development outcomes
- Its focus is on promoting best practices that can be replicated nationwide by providing a platform for district collectors, senior government officials, policymakers and domain experts to share experiences, exchange ideas, and deliberate on strategies for
- Saturation of flagship schemes
- Integrated district-level development
- Effective grievance redressal mechanisms
