The 22nd installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) was released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, from Guwahati, Assam, benefiting over 9.32 crore farmers. Under the scheme, a financial benefit of ₹6,000 per year is transferred in three equal instalments, into the Aadhaar seeded bank accounts of farmers through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode. Government has disbursed over ₹ 4.27 lakh crore in 22 installments since its inception.
