PRARAMBH 2026 (Policy Reform and Responsible Action for Mission Viksit Bharat) is a nationwide awareness campaign launched by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on March 20, 2026. The initiative is designed to educate citizens about the Income Tax Act, 2025, which is scheduled to come into effect on April 1, 2026.

- Simplification Awareness: The campaign aims to familiarise taxpayers with a simplified tax structure and new rules intended to make compliance easier.
- Multimedia Outreach: Information is being disseminated through a wide range of channels, including television, radio, print, social media, and outdoor advertising.
- Technology-Driven Support launched:
- Income Tax Website 2.0: A faster, more user-friendly income tax portal has been launched to replace the existing one.
- Kar Saathi: An AI-enabled chatbot introduced to provide instant assistance regarding the new Act, rules, and forms.
- New Compliance Rules:
- Revised Returns: Taxpayers can now file revised returns until March 31 with a nominal fee.
- Foreign Assets: A one-time six-month disclosure scheme is available for small taxpayers.
- Automated Certificates: A rule-based system for NIL deduction certificates has been introduced to help small taxpayers.
