The JanSamarth Portal is a flagship initiative of the Government of India aimed at streamlining credit delivery and enhancing access to multiple government-sponsored schemes through a single digital platform. It was launched in 2022 to improve efficiency, transparency, and inclusivity in the credit ecosystem.

Key Features
Digital Marketplace for Credit Schemes
- Serves as a digital marketplace with front-end user interface for beneficiaries, integrated with wide range of centralized data sources
- As on date, 15 credit-linked Central Government Schemes are available on it, catering to diverse sectors like agriculture, renewable energy, business activity, livelihood, housing etc.
Single-Window Facility
- Provides a single-window facility for 15 Credit-linked Central Government Schemes application submissions and 254 Member Lending Institutions (including all Public Sector Banks) to choose from.
Seamless Loan Processing
- Provides loan journey of 12 schemes and redirection journey for the remaining 3 schemes
- Provides eligibility check, in-principle sanction and forwarding of applications to selected bank branches
Real-Time Data Integration
- Integrated with multiple government and financial databases for faster processing: Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), Goods and Services Tax (GST), UDYAM, National E-Governance Services Ltd. (NeSL), Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), CIBIL, AgriStack, Kisan Rin Portal, Startup Portal of DPIIT, LOKoS, e-Pehchan etc. to ensure faster loan processing.

- Eliminates need for multiple physical visits to banks.
- Provides real-time updates at each stage of application processing.
- Ensures transparency and ease of doing business.
Onboarding Status (as on 20 March 2026)
- Onboarding Status of Banks: About 254 lenders (12 Public Sector Banks, 20 Private Sector Banks, 28 Regional Rural Banks, 173 DCCBs, 15 NBFCs and 6 SFBs) have already been onboarded for different schemes.
- Overall progress as on 20th March’2026: Since its launch, about 41.14 lakh applications amounting to ₹1,06,306 Crores have been processed and digital approval is accorded by Banks to 35.07 lakh beneficiaries amounting to ₹84,365.55 Crores.
