Andhra Pradesh government has approved a dedicated Quantum and Artificial Intelligence University campus in Amaravati, aimed at building advanced skills, research and startups in emerging technologies.
The campus will be established by NIELIT (National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology), a Deemed-to-be University under the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). It is designed to position Amaravati as a deep-tech innovation hub.

- The project was approved during a Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) meeting chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Quantum Research, Innovation & Incubation Block (QRIIB)
The permanent campus will include a specialised 1.25 lakh sq. ft. Quantum Research, Innovation and Incubation Block (QRIIB).
It will provide facilities for:
- Quantum computing and communication.
- Quantum photonics laboratories.
- Cleanroom nanofabrication.
- Cryogenic testing.
- Startup incubation.

- Designed as a solar-powered Net Zero facility.
- Residential capacity: 500 beds.
- Training target: 8,250 learners over five years.
