Ankur Bhattacharjee Wins Maiden WTT Men’s Singles Title

Indian table tennis player Ankur Bhattacharjee clinched his first-ever WTT men’s singles title at the WTT Feeder Olomouc tournament in Czechia.

The victory also gave him a major boost in the world rankings. He moved 13 places from World No. 78 to a career-best World No. 65.

Historic Olomouc Campaign

Ankur, who was the third seed, defeated Slovenia’s Deni Kozul 3–1 in the men’s singles final to secure the title.

He also won the men’s doubles gold medal with fellow Indian Akash Pal. The Indian pair defeated David Szantosi of Hungary and Mateusz Zalewski of Poland in the doubles final.

Ankur’s Recent Progress

The Olomouc title caps a strong period for Ankur. He was the runner-up at the Europe Youth Smash in Sweden in 2025 and had already reached two quarterfinals and two semifinals during 2026 before finally securing his maiden WTT title.
