Bengaluru Becomes India’s Second-Busiest Domestic Airport

Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) has overtaken Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) to become the second-busiest airport in India for domestic passengers.

According to data from the Airports Authority of India (AAI), this marks the first time Bengaluru has surpassed Mumbai under normal operating conditions, highlighting a significant shift in India’s aviation traffic patterns.
