India participated in the two-day G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) meeting held in Asheville, North Carolina, USA. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman led India’s delegation, with RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra also taking part in the discussions.
The meeting was conducted under the US G20 Presidency and brought together finance ministers and central bank governors to discuss major global economic and financial challenges.

The United States selected Asheville as the venue partly to highlight the recovery of western North Carolina following Hurricane Helene.
The main G20 Leaders’ Summit is scheduled to take place in Miami on December 14–15, 2026.
