Government recognised over 55,200 startups in FY 2025-26, the highest number in a single year since launch of Startup India on 16th January 2016. This represents a 51.6% year-on-year growth over FY 2024-25 (36,400+ startups). Direct jobs created by recognised startups rose by 36.1% YoY from 3,66,870+ in FY 2024-25 to 4,99,400+ in FY 2025-26.

Patent Filings & GeM Participation
- Patent Applications by startups: Grew from 2,850+ (FY 2024-25) to 4,480+ (FY 2025-26), with total filings crossing 19,400+.
- Government e-Marketplace (GeM): Over 38,600 startups have been onboarded on it. Orders placed to startups on GeM grew from ₹14,103+ crore to ₹19,190+ crore in FY 2025-26, with 1,40,260+ orders placed.
