The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has appointed retired Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra as the first full-time Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
The appointment is aimed at providing dedicated leadership for the Trust’s expanding administrative responsibilities. Mishra retired from the Indian Air Force (IAF) on 30 April 2026 after nearly four decades of service.
Military Background
Mishra was commissioned into the IAF’s fighter stream as a fighter pilot on 6 December 1986.

Leadership and Military Honours
Mishra served as Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C) of the Western Air Command when Operation Sindoor was launched on 7 May 2025 in response to the Pahalgam terror attack. He led air operations during the operation.
For his exceptional operational execution, he received the Sarvottam Yudh Seva Medal.
New Role at the Ram Temple Trust
As the Trust’s first full-time CEO, Mishra will provide dedicated leadership for its growing administrative requirements. His appointment follows his retirement from the IAF and marks his transition from senior military leadership to temple administration.
